I have been travelling solo since I was 18 and now at age 33 I have lots of lessons to share…
Feeling anxiety, worry, self-doubt and fear is all totally normal and it doesn’t mean something is wrong.
Remember to focus on the best case scenario. Train your brain to focus on the positive, because what you focus on grows.

Episode #75: Self-doubt
We often think once someone becomes ‘successful’ that their self-doubt disappears… And this isn’t true.
I believe that when we decide to grow and evolve and to go after more, we are always going to have self-doubt. It is part of the process.
Many people choose to stay in ‘comfort’ right where they are because of their unwillingness to feel the self-doubt that comes up…
Self-doubt is a part of being human… It is a natural reaction to growth.

Think of a decision you need to make.
Why haven’t you made it yet?
… Because you are afraid of making the wrong decision.
And here’s the thing, decisions don’t actually matter too much.
It is how we think and feel about them that determines our experience… And our thoughts and feelings are complete within our control.

Feeling better is available to you always.
It starts in you brain. It starts with what you are thinking.
Our thoughts determine our feelings…
We often think that once we attain something, THEN, we will feel better. But this isn’t true.
You have the ability to change the way you feel & feel better…

Episode #66: Questions to ask yourself
Questions give your brain deliberate focus. And our brains both need and like deliberate focus.
I recently got very mad at a post I saw on social media and I used self-coaching and powerful questions to turn this situation into something positive…
The first and most important question you can ask yourself is what am I thinking? Bringing awareness to your thoughts is always the first step. These thoughts ARE the reason you feel the way you do.

How often do you find yourself saying “I don’t know”?
These words do not serve you. They keep you stuck and create confusion.
What if you did know the answer…? What might it be? What could it be?
What if you just stopped thinking and saying “I don’t know”?
Imagine the ideas, wisdom and creativity that may come forward!
Episode #64: Leaving the 9-5 job
It’s not better over here. It’s just different…
I have had a few people say to me lately “I wish I could do what you do and quit my 9-5 job”
The reason you so badly want to create change in your life, whether its leaving your 9-5 job or taking a trip somewhere, whatever it is is, it’s because you want to FEEL differently.
And you think that by doing “that thing” you will then feel better, happier.
Changing your environment doesn’t make you happy or give you a better life.
Happiness is created in your mind – it comes from what you think.
In order to create a better life and feel happy – you’ve got to learn to look at your mind…
Episode #63: Feeling fear
Where is fear holding you back in your life?
Fear does not mean stop or run (no, you are not going to die!).
You create your own fear within your mind and then let it stop you from taking the action you want.
When fear is stopping you from doing the thing you really want to do – then it is not useful to you. And it is your job to manage your own mind and take action anyway.
Feeling fear is a normal part of the human experience. However, it is not a valid excuse to hold yourself back…
Episode #62: How to comfort yourself
When feeling negative emotions it’s normal to want to comfort ourselves. When we are uncomfortable we seek out comfort and pleasure to make it all feel better.
However our usual choices for comfort (food, alcohol, Netflix, shopping etc) are actually just a form of false pleasure. They often end up adding guilt and shame to the mix…
The feeling you are avoiding and trying to comfort yourself from can’t actually hurt you. It is just a vibration in your body.

Episode #61: How to up level your self-worth
Have you listened to the way you talk to yourself lately? Did you like what you heard…? Let’s be honest… you usually wouldn’t speak to someone else the way you speak to yourself.
What might change if you were kind to yourself? What might change if you allowed yourself to be enough? Who might you become without all the negative self-talk??
If you are kind & say positive things to yourself you will achieve more than you ever believed was possible – you would blow your own dam mind. In this episode we are talking about how to limit the self-judgement, increase your self-worth & feel great!

I recently took a solo vacation (a me-cation) and I spent a lot of time thinking…
Here are some of the lessons I am sharing:
– Focusing on what you don’t want, don’t like or don’t have only grows – what you focus on good or bad always grows
– What if everything was ok exactly as it is
– Self worth is not determined by anything outside of us. Our self worth is simply made by a choice
– Travel doesn’t make you happy or bring you joy. The way you think about it, the thoughts you have give you this
– Wanting and wishing for it to be easy isn’t serving us

Feeling lonely is something that can happen when you are travelling solo.
Loneliness itself is a feeling. It is not caused by being by yourself, it comes from the thoughts that you have about being by yourself.
If you don’t like being alone this is because you don’t like be alone with yourself. So the questions is… How can you create feelings of love & connection towards yourself?

Episode #58: Increase your confidence
The feeling of confidence comes from the thoughts that you have about yourself & your abilities. It is a belief that you already have what you need (or you know how to get the skills & knowledge that you need).
When you lack confidence it comes from a belief that you aren’t good enough to have or do what you want.
So how can we create confidence for things we’ve never done before…?

Episode #57: Making solo travel possible
There are 3 stages of belief that we go through when we set out to achieve something.
The first stage is: I can’t do that
The second stage: Maybe I could do that
The final stage: I can totally do that!
This process takes you from believing you can never do it, you can never achieve what you want, you could never be that person, you can never have what you want through to believing, truely believing that you can.
I am breaking down how out brains go through this process & focusing on the importance of possibility.
Episode #56: The truth about SELF CARE
There seems to be this goal in life to “just be happy.” In this episode I am You may have heard this saying, “you can not pour from an empty cup.” Take care of yourself first – Self care is about looking after you & your needs. Self care is particularly important when we are travelling solo because we are out of our normal environment, out of our routine, out of our comfort zone, our sleep patterns are often thrown all over the show, our eating habits change & we may feel anxious or overwhelmed…
However, the traditional take of self care is flawed & here’s what you need to know!
Episode #55: The power in discomfort
There seems to be this goal in life to “just be happy.” In this episode I am challenging that & talking about the power of our negative emotions. What if your life was mean to be 50% positive emotion & 50% negative emotion, and that was totally ok? This discomfort & negative emotion doesn’t mean something has gone wrong. We are taking a deep dive into my first solo travel experiences – Looking at the anxiety, stress, fear & lack of confidence I felt. And then talking about how that transitioned into pride, happiness, success & confidence.Our willingness to feel this discomfort is directly linked to our success.

You have the ability to create anything you want in your life. Possibility is endless. In this episode I am diving deep into why we all have the ability. I’m sharing some examples from well known people & the adversity they overcame & pushed through to achieve huge success.
